Collegekhabar; Engineering College Ranking by Students…. What an idea sir ji….

Every year many Indian colleges ranking has been published in India by Mint, Outlook IndiaToday etc. Every one has there own criteria for evaluating colleges on different parameters. Criteria like Intellectual capital, Infrastructure and placements etc are the major determining factors. The participants to the survey are College faculties and the Survey agency.

But most often the most important segment of the ranking; ‘The Student’ are always kept apart from the evaluation. What is the ultimate purpose  of ranking the colleges??? Is it just to create a competition among colleges or to show the supremacy of IIT’s over other colleges???
Well, I guess the only reason is to help Engineering Aspirants in selecting right college.

Recently CollegeKhabar has launched a campaign to rank engineering colleges of India.

The reason I liked in this ranking campaign is that here Students and Alumni are the one who are nominating and voting for the college. As per Devendra, Co-founder, CollegeKhabar, “Our Secondary Research shows that Students put the “Placements” way ahead than other parameters like faculty-student ratio, Infrastructure or Intellectual capital etc which other firms are using in their ranking.”

CollegeKhabar has focussed on following criteria to rank the engineering colleges of country.

  • Institute where do top recruiters go first?
  • Institute which have the better placements?
  • Institute with the best academic environment?
  • Institute with the best corporate relations?
